Graphic Design : Graphic Design is a process of creation applied for commercial purpose. Commonly it refers to highlight a visual message of a product or service. A number of techniques are used to visualize the characteristics of the product at the time of creating Graphic Designs. Because a good design can justify brand efficiency and image of the company. It may depends on the basis of mutual understanding and foresights between designers and client.Graphic designers frequently use various techniques and expressions to make the job more expressive as well as attractive on computer. There are different types and forms of graphics and their uses worldwide.
Basically there are three types of graphics, use to perform a design in different applications specially for print media, packaging, advertising, and logo-making. These are Vector, Raster and Combination Graphics. Vector graphics are resolution independent. It can be stretched or enlarge without losing its originality. Where as Raster graphics are resolution dependent. It can be not extended or enlarged with its original values. Combination graphics are performed in mixed form of Vector and Raster graphics.
Commonly graphic designer uses the applications to perform a design are Adobe Photoshop (a raster-based program for photo editing), Adobe Illustrator (a vector-based program for drawing), Corel Draw ( for Combination), Adobe In Design or Quark Express(a page layout program), and Dreamweaver (for Web page design).
